CONTRIBUTIONS

Contributions to Caro Community Hospital may be made in the three different ways:

1) Directly to the Hospital itself;
2) To the CCH Endowment Foundation;
3) To the CCH Auxiliary.

All contributions will be used for the continuation and improvement of quality health care services at Caro Community Hospital. Your donation may be in the form of cash, memorial, bequest, or another method of your choosing.

Donating directly to the Hospital: Q & A

How do I make the initial contact?

Simply call the Hospital at (989) 673-3141 and tell the receptionist you are interested in making a contribution; your call will be forwarded immediately to someone who can help you. If you wish to speak to a specific person regarding your potential contribution (such as the CEO or the Chairman of the Board, for example), all you need to do is ask. You may also e-mail the Hospital using the "Contact Us" button on the home page of this website.

Are there different categories of giving?

When you donate directly to the Hospital, you essentially determine your level of giving based on your own personal financial situation. We will be glad to speak with you about the Hospital's needs at the time of your call.

How will my contribution be used?

If you would like us to help you select a use for your contribution, we would be happy to do that to the best of our ability. In general, contributions from individuals are used to purchase medical equipment to improve our services (but they are not limited to this purpose).

Donating to the CCH Endowment Foundation: Q & A

The Caro Community Hospital Endowment Foundation is a subsidiary of Caro Community Healthcare Alliance, the parent corporation of the Hospital. It is dedicated to raising funds to support the delivery of quality health care services in the greater Caro area. The Foundation annually holds a Charity Golf Tournament and a Charity Ball. Persons who elect to become annual contributors of $100 or more receive an invitation to the Ball, a festive event that celebrates the winter season and provides friends and neighbors an evening of dining and dancing. The Foundation also sponsors a continuing campaign called the "Tree Of Life", which supports the Hospital's Capital Campaign Building Fund. Contributors to this campaign will have their names engraved on the symbols which appear on the "Tree of Life" in the Hospital lobby.

How do I make the initial contact?

Simply call the Hospital at (989) 673-3141 and tell the receptionist you are interested in making a contribution to the Endowment Foundation; your call will be forwarded immediately to someone who can help you. You may also initiate a contact with any member of the Endowment Foundation Board, whose names appear below, or you may e-mail us using the "Contact Us" button on the home page of this website.

Are there different categories of giving?

Yes, there are several, reflecting the various levels of giving which may apply to families, organizations, businesses, and other entities. As mentioned above, annual donors of $100 or more are invited to attend the Charity Ball. There are other defined levels of giving through the Endowment Foundation which apply the contributions to general purposes. The "Tree of Life" Campaign applies the contributions (over a defined period of years) directly to the Hospital's ongoing building fund, at the following levels:

Gold Leaf: $1,000 - $9,999
Small Stone: $10,000 - $24,999
Large Stone: $25,000 - $49,999
Rock: $50,000 and above

Obviously, a fair amount of consultation may be needed prior to making a contribution of this size. We encourage you to discuss your plans and wishes with the Hospital's Chief Executive Officer, or with any member of the Endowment Foundation Board.

How will my contribution be used?

Funds donated to the "Tree of Life" Capital Campaign support a multi-phased renovation and expansion of Caro Community Hospital, a project the Hospital's Board of Trustees has asked the CCH Endowment Foundation to undertake. Phase I of this renovation is complete and opened to the public in March of 2003.
